A Cool New Way to Calm Writer Anxiety

~Writing Well Wednesday Tip~

Are you feeling anxious or stressed out?

Maybe you’re having a hard time fitting writing in with your busy life. Maybe you’re facing a zillion deadlines right now and you’re running behind. Or maybe it’s book launch time and you’re losing your mind.

I heard about a new mindfulness app last week that may help. It’s called “Calm” and it’s completely free to get started.

Calm offers a number of guided meditations to help you to feel more calm and peaceful.

There a lot of options. You can use the “7 Days of Calm” and enjoy a 10-minute guided meditation each day, or try some of the other options like the “Body Scan (become more present from head to toe)” or the “7 Days of Managing Stress.” There are also programs to help you sleep better and to focus more efficiently.

You’ll find several free options to keep you going, but if you want to subscribe, you gain access to an entire library of not only guided meditations, but even bedtime stories! You can even use it on your commute to help keep you calm in the middle of a traffic jam.

Check it out. You may find yourself feeling a lot more relaxed.
